History
The
Elizabeth Education Foundation was founded in 1998 as a
Colorado nonprofit corporation. It was organized to benefit
the Elizabeth School District C-1.
The purpose of the
Foundation was to provide additional services and
educational programs to further the educational excellence, supplement existing programs and create new,
innovative programs where current district funding was not
available. The goal was to ensure that the students were the
direct beneficiaries of all the Foundation's gains.
For over ten
years, the Foundation has supported the students and
teachers of Elizabeth School District C-1 by enhancing the
literacy, numeracy, technology and training programs.
Students have been recognized and honored for their
individual outstanding achievements. The Foundation has been
self-funded through various fundraising activities and
grants.
